WIA Youth and Sports

2008, a year that can be seen as an achievement year for the Youth and Sports wing of Waitakere Indian Association (WIA). It started with signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between WIA and the Westside United Football Club, which is a very important aspect of Youth and Sports. Moving in this direction saw lots of positive responses from all sides and improved the flow of communication between all parties involved.

It was also agreed that an Executive of the football club be nominated to the WIA Executive Committee as a Youth and Sports representative. Youth and Sports Group have been mainly involved in running of the Westside United football club and took over the organizing of the Social Dinner and Dance Night.
