is another event which has become very popular amongst the community. It has been the motto and effort of Waitakere Indian Association to promote diversity in our area and we have been very successful with our Holi Mela.

Greetings to all !

Waitakere Indian Association (WIA)   once again celebrated the 2010 Diwali Festival in great style at the Trust Stadium. Over 15 thousand people joined us in these celebrations and it was a huge success

One of the reasons behind this festival is to rejoice the triumph of good over evil.

The full days program was a delight to watch. There were lots of activities as well has several art and craft and food stalls. The patrons thoroughly enjoyed the festive atmosphere.

Some of the highlights were as follows

  • Prayers and religious items

  • Ram Leela performed by the WIA Indi School

  • Bollywood School Dance competition

  • Rangoli (coloring)

  • Craft stalls

  • Food stalls

  • Fire Works Display

Waitakere Indian Association wishes to thank all participants for joining us in celebrating this year's Diwali Festival in great style.
